Leo Korting died in early 2000. He was the founder and designer of the first Korting International Family Tree web site. He also was, I think, the source of the Korting shield (above).
To protect his web sites the information is republished here. To insure that another of his web site's information was not lost, also his son's Bo Korting's wedding information is also herein. Only minor adjustments were made to send e-mail to www.KortingFamily.org and to correct English spelling errors.
Some of the Ohio Kortings met Leo in 1995 when he came to a international Korting meeting held in Amersfoort NL. Leo said then that "when I retire, I will organize the Korting family tree". He did organize it... he organized it very well. He was a wonderful person to have worked so hard. He left so much work done; yet so much is to be done. His cousin Nell Jansen of Eindhoven supplied much of the Korting family information contained herein.
