Year 2000 Travel for John, Deb and Maria Korting. The trip included, Troisdorf, Cologne, Maastricht, Krefeld, Kapellen, Geldern, Hannover, Expo 2000, Utrecht, Amersfoort, Sparkenburg, Amsterdam, and Xanten.

Arrive 10:30 Düsseldorf;. Arrive Troisdorf about 1:30 PM.  In the afternoon we went to nearby Wine Country at Mayschoss..  
8 June Thurs Visiting Cologne Taking the train to Köln; Dieter, John Korting, Vera and Renate Spiekerkoetter  
9 June Fri Travel to Maastricht; then to Krefeld Shopping in the central market in Maastricht, Netherlands; about 100 shops were under tents in the main market square. In this photo, clothing on the left; bread on the right.  
10 June Sat Visit our cousins in Krefeld Evening meal in the Garden with Klaus Korting, wife Mara, and daughters  Danielle & Uta  
10 June Sat On June 9, we went to the "Flax Market" in Krefeld; a craft fair with over 350 vendors showing new and old handmade items. Handmade Porcelain Chickens, sitting on a ladder.  
11 June Sun Visit Kapellen and have a family reunion, then late in the day, travel to Hannover Lunch with Korting Family members.  
12 June Mon Visit the World's Fair, Expo 2000, In Hannover. Writing E-mails to friends from the free PCs at the Expo.  
13 June Tues Visiting in Hannover; shopping At Expo 2000- the Iceland building was like a giant ice cube, and it was "melting". Note the water on the wall, and the naked child playing in the water in the left distance. Tina, John and Maria.  
14 June Wed Shopping In Utrecht and Dinner in Sparkenburg Street scene from Utrecht, NL; note the canals & the warehouses along the canal (lower left). Some  warehouses are now restaraunts.  
15 June Thurs Amsterdam Statue of Ann Frank at a church near to "the" house  
16 June Fri Travel to Kapellen Het Loo, the Dutch palace of many "William of Orange" kings.  
June 16 Fri Night in Kapellen - Geldern, go to the Graduation party for Kristina Kanders Deb Korting, Maria Korting, Mrs. Kanders, Elke Oerding, Herr Kanders and Tina.  
17 June Sat Visiting Kapellen. It was festival time. We had a wonderful and beautiful breakfast with the Family Schmitz in Kapellen. Then, we sat in the garden and looked at Linda's USA travel book.

June 17 Kapellen Festival. Kristina Kanders (right) was a scout in the parade. She and the other scouts carried banners for each parade entry. Note the  King and queens (from other villages) in the left background.
